A RESTAURATION GILT AND GREEN PATINATED BRONZE MANTLE CLOCK, 1820s, the stepped rectangular case surmounted by a neoclassical style tazza with a beaded and reeded rim above a burnished short waisted neck and gadrooned body flanked by scrolling foliate handles, on a palmette detailed socle and square form base supported by a conforming cornice on a vertical block form case centering a steel and burnished engine turned dial with Roman hour chapters enclosing a small minutes dial over blued cut steel Breguet "moon" hands and twin key escapements, reversing to a removable cover revealing a brass mechanism with notched wheel and silk suspension pendulum with hammer strike bell before a brass cover stamped "P.D. / 507," within a beaded and guilloché engine turned bezel flanked by paterae mounts over a similarly detailed leafy bronze pendant and trimmed at the base with a leaf tip alternating floret encadrement, on a conforming block form plinth and raised on curling tipped acanthine corner feet.
