A FINE PERSIAN GILT DETAILED STEEL INKSTAND, POSSIBLY QAJAR, 19TH CENTURY, of rectangular form with two inset beveled cut glass inkwells of square form and hinged circular lids, flanking a shallow dish form nib well above a long pen trough, within canted trim over conforming sides and raised on corner ruyi step form feet joined by an undulating skirt, covered throughout in finely detailed gilt blossoming stems in tree of life form or bands of scrolling rinceaux on a steel body.
