A FEDERAL SATINWOOD INLAID FLAME MAHOGANY PEMBROKE TABLE, POSSIBLY NEW YORK, 1790-1810, the dramatically figured mahogany rectangular top with canted corners and hinged flaps, centering a circular marquetry fan inlay within a satinwood cross banded and ebony string lined border, above a short drawer opposite a sham drawer and each with a brass bale handle above a brass lined keyhole enclosed by satinwood string lining, raised on similarly inlaid tapering rectangular legs ending in conforming brass caps and later brown ceramic casters, height: 28 3/4", width: 17 1/2" (open: 33 3/4"), depth: 35".
