A FRENCH ASSEMBLED THREE PIECE GARNITURE, JAPY FRERES CLOCK RETAILED BY AUGUST LEMAIRE, SCULPTURE BY ETIENNE HENRI DUMAIGE (French 1830-1888), CIRCA 1867, the sculpture, "Musicien tambourin et danse femme," signed in bronze at base, "Dumaige," raised on a sober sarcophagus form rouge griotte marble centering beveled window opening to reveal an unusual incorporated dished rouge marble face dial with applied Arabic numerals, the clockworks marked, "Japy Freres & Cie Gnd Med. D'honneur," and retailer mark, "A. Lemaire, Paris, R.V. du Temple 121," stamped number 188, paired with two later Art Nouveau style parcel gilt, green and rouge patina cast handled vases with relief whiplash tendrils and flower blooms, raised on well matched stepped bases with applied gilt metal rosettes and gilt bronze foliate scrolled feet, clock height: 24", width: 12 1/2", depth: 7 3/4".
