A VICTORIAN LACQUERED AND CARVED BAMBOO DRESSING STAND, CIRCA 1880, in the Japonaiserie taste with a rectangular pierced crest of intertwined bamboo stalks above a central tilting beveled mirror, flanked by embossed Japonaiserie panels of chrysanthemum bloom filled cartouches and background, issuing stepped shelves over a conforming cabinet with top centering painted birds fluttering amidst prickly rose stems on a large four petal flower background in colors of red, burnt orange, black and mustard, over a similarly painted drawer with brass handled backplate above matching paired doors, framed throughout in brown mottled bamboo stalks ending as splayed feet.
