Four mourning rings, Late 17th - mid 19th centuries1st: Late 17th century, set with a gilt wire monogram between enamel putti, beneath faceted paste, the reverse inscribed with initials, I W/ E W, the foliate band decorated with black enamel, mounted in gold, 2nd: Late 18th century, the woven gold band decorated with black enamel and gold dedications, the front set with a cushion-shaped purple paste in a foiled and closed-back setting, mounted in gold, 3rd: 1822, the 18 carat yellow gold band decorated with black and white enamel, the front plaque depicting an urn inscribed, 'EMMA/ 1823', a glazed compartment containing hairwork to the reverse, the inner band inscribed 'died Jany 26 1823. Aged 21', 4th: 1838, the rose-cut diamond forget-me-not flower to a tapering band, decorated with light blue enamel and gilt lettering, In Memory Of, a glazed compartment containing woven hairwork to the reverse, the inner band inscribed 'William Pattison who died 12.
