NEVERS, late 18th century. Four revolutionary PLACES with contoured edges in stanniferous earthenware. Polychrome decoration of a large fire: - A PLATE decorated with an altar surmounted by a garland of flowers masking a scale and bearing the inscription "Law and Justice 1793" placed in a landscape. On the reverse side the handwritten inscription "Ripault". (Chips on the edge). A similar model in the collections of the Musée Carnavalet, Paris. n°C323. - ASSEMBLY decorated with a truncated column surmounted by a flowered handlebar bearing the inscription "W the Law" and masking two tricolour flags, a sword and a shovel.
