A WW1 & WW2 Father & Son letters home with medals. WW1 letters from 5956 Private Thomas Hall of the Devonshire Regiment serving in France writing home to his wife, he writes about being in the trenches in 1914, spending 3 weeks in the No.1 Stationery Base Hospital in Rouen in 1915, then back to the trenches, then being in "No Mans Land" at night and having to stand still when flares are sent up, still in the trenches in 1916, then in March of 1917 he had finished his 17 years Army Service and was thinking he was going home, only to be Conscripted back into the Army! All together there are 34 letters plus a WW1 Mons Star medal trio (naming filed off). WW2 letters 1130046 Corporal Cyril Hall of the Royal Air Force writing home to his mother, in 1941 he is with No.4 Group at RAF Station Digby, Lincolnshire, then in 1942 to 1945 he is with 162 Maintenance Unit, RAF, BNAF, (British North Africa Forces), then after the war ends he is sent to Italy with the Central Mediterranean Force. All together there are 49 letters plus his WW2 medal trio and photographs
