Royal Flying Corps personal letters of historical interest from two brothers Lawrence & Brian Long serving with the RFC during WW1 sent to their family. Lawrence (24 letters & cards, etc) served as an Aircraft Mechanic with HQ Flight in Risalpur, NWF, India, from 1916 through to 1919. Brian (19 letters & cards, etc) served initially with the BEF in the trenches in France during 1916 then transferred to the RFC as an Artillery Observer, he spent some time at the School of Special Flying then returned to France in 1917. All the letters give an insight into life during the war. Many of the letters and envelopes are embossed with the RFC badge. Together with photographs of Brian, his badges and buttons.
