Description

题识：白石老人所画不在鱼虾雏鸡之属，索者欲如此，为老人喜如人意也。钤印：齐大 此幅《竹笼雏鸡》表现出一个农家日常生活中的场景，一群雏鸡刚冲出樊笼，或嬉戏，或找寻食物，各具奇态。齐白石出身下层社会，对农村生活有着浓厚的感触，时常在画作中流露出来。此作构图上，立意新颖，上下构图而一气呵成，这也表明了雏鸡挣脱竹笼束缚这种关系。竹笼用墨线画成，前面墨色浓重，后面墨色淡雅，体现了强烈的立体感。雏鸡的画法基本是泼染而成，用浓淡不一的墨色一只一只画出，最后用墨线勾出雏鸡的腿和喙，就这样，八只雏鸡活泼地在纸上嬉戏着。从雏鸡的墨色表现来看，墨色表现如此丰富，也足见齐白石驾驭墨的能力之强。
