Chinese Qing Dynasty Period, Qianlong blue & white fruit abundant vase. The porcelain potted in Chinese traditional YuHuChun shape vessel, the pear shaped bottle vase, a bottom-heavy body tapered gracefully to slender waisted neck flaring at the open lip, supported on short foot base. All reserved hand painted ornamentations are rendered in clean white underglaze base color which contrast against the cobalt blue fine color. The Exterior decorated with abundant ripe pomegranate interspersed fresh foliage, enclosed with taotie mask among flowers blooms. The shoulder festooned with scrolling tendril, upturning phoenix tail on the neck and geometric petals on the foot base rim, double fine blue rings on the each section. Pomegranate also symbolizes happiness in the family, as well as good luck for one's descendants. A characteristic heaped and piled effect, the underglaze grayish-blue concentrates in certain areas, bubbling through the surface of the glaze and turning a deep blue-black.
