Chinese Jian ware tea bowl with deep rounded sides rising from a short straight foot to slightly flared rim, raised upon narrow footed base. Covered overall in a brown-black glaze with silver-creme 'oil streaks'. Falling short of the foot to reveal the orange-brown body. The under base glaze stopped before the foot base, displayed the olive-brown ground with burnt and darker spots in the firing. A thick glaze joining the body clay appeared near the base, traceable sea-green silvery sparkling dust, glaze age crackles visually seen, and dull thump sound when tapped.Height:2.75 inWidth: 4.88 inDepth: 4.88 in
