Chinese Early Ming Dynasty Period, Hongwu a molded dragon reliefs Longquan kiln celadon glazed porcelain charger. The Porcelain potted in shallow vessel form, with broad wide central interior, rounded cavetto gently tapering to open wide, a thick flared lip, raised with short round shallow draft and slight concave. All reserved hand painted ornamentations are rendered in Longquan design color. Longquan decorated with greenish glaze made at kilns centered in the Longquan area of southern Zhejiang province. Celadon wares was made here from the Northern Song to the early Qing dynasty according to recent excavation reports, as opposed to an earlier belief that the production ended in Ming.
