Chinese Qing Dynasty Period, Kangxi gilt over blue monochrome brush pot. The Porcelain potted in brush holder shape, sturdily in cylindrical straight body, thick potted, deep curvature, slight tall and gentle upward to wide straight opening lip, raised on the flat round foot base. All reserved hand painted ornamentations are rendered in blue monochrome underglaze base color which contrast against the gilt fine color. The exterior adorned with big carp jumping above the Lishui water river, beside flowers blooms and water plants below scrolling ruyi clouds, all enclosed with double thick gilt square lines. The Carp Similar sounding to the word "Business" in Chinese, the carp symbolizes a wish for benefit or advantage in business, and accepted to represent longevity, wealth, abundance, and perseverance.
