Antique Chinese Carved Huanghuali Altar table. Constructed with rectangular top panel surmounting the plain apron, flanked by spandrels over the legs. All preceded by a handle-bar shaped apron that connects to each post. The legs are angular in shape and taper outwards ever-so-slightly until they reach the ground where they connect to a rectangular foot base. The legs are braced by two parallel dowels supports making the structure very sound. Sturdy ancient construction with perfectly joined mortise and tenon. The wood has a translucent glistening surface with natural patterns that please the eye. Some grain structures may be likened to the shape of ghost faces.Height:32.25 inWidth: 55.25 inDepth: 18 in
