Cast in two sections with seven rats climbing across a branch of persimmons, the fruit colored with a variegated reddish-brown patina in contrast to the dark brown color applied to the remaining surfaces, the base stamped Masanao chu in a vertical rectangular cartouche (losses, loose parts).
