Portrait of courtesan Keisei Umegawa and of Hikyakuya Chûbei under a parasol, Edo period, ca 1798.
Ukiyo-e (block print). 契情梅川 飛脚屋忠兵衛. Part of the series "True feelings compared: the sources of love" 実競色乃美名家見. Bears the signature of Utamaro Hitsu and the stamp of manufacturer Nishimuraya Yohachi. Missing piece from the edge of the paper. Colouring altered due to light. Paper reinforced on the back. Displayed under plexiglass. Condition requires restoration.
