An Imposing Chinese Canton famille Rose Floor Vase Of baluster form with a foliate flared rim, the body decorated in famille rose enamels with reserve panels depicting a battle scene and an emperor addressed by military officials in a court interior, bordered by a continuous flower scroll on gold ground, alternating with smaller panels and phoenix, the neck with similar panels and with applied fu lion handles, all on a ground of flower sprays and birds, the shoulders with moulded raised chilong, the foot with a band of lappets.
