Jean Claude FAHRI (né en 1940)
Duetodos -1999
Sculpture in Corten steel 380 x 220 x 120 cmm
Note:
Artist of the Nice school, whose work was defended by Pierre RESTANY,
Jean-Claude FAHRI began his career in 1963, and owes his success to his
famous polymethacrylate columns in the 1960s. He exhibited at Galerie
Iris Clerc in Paris, among others, and then with Galerie Beaubourg in
1980. In 1990, the artist made his first sculpture in lacquered metal
and several public commissions. From 1994, Jean-Claude FARHI decided to
abandon colour and work on the raw metal. He then produced several large
formats and continued his exploration of the refined geometric form on
which his work had always been based. Material: Corten steel, a material
with a chemical "plasticity" that patches with the weathering
of time.
On-site visit possible by appointment, only with the firm.
