此炉以黄铜熔铸成形，内唇，直身，腹微鼓，腹壁以绣球纹作地铸饰盘长、法轮、法螺、宝伞、宝瓶、双鱼等佛家八宝，意趣盎然。螭龙附于口沿两侧，卷尾，身姿弯曲，作为器耳，龙首向外卷曲，角、鬃毛后捋，造型生动，动态十足，且一丝不苟，鬃毛丝丝细如针，刻画极为生动、细腻。底铸有“大明宣德年制”款，六字楷书，字体规整，书法端庄大方。炉壁厚薄均匀。
