閻魔天為薩迦派無上瑜伽部父續的本尊神，象徵妙吉祥的文殊師利菩薩的化身，主宰 冥界。此尊閻魔天牛頭人身，頭戴骷髏冠，怒髮上沖，三目怒張，露舌咧口，貌如怒吼。 上身袒露，四肢穿釧環，胸前佩戴璧式瓔珞，項掛人頭骨長鏈。雙臂舒展，各持法器， 雙足立於牛背上，牛昂首，下方鎮壓惡道臥人，呈被降服之狀，體現了閻魔天大威猛、 大忿怒的宗教特徵。尊像細節刻畫清晰到位，法器完好無缺，殊為難得。整器採燒古 技法鑄造，造像比例精確，為乾隆時期宮廷造像之精品。
