Persia, 14th Centurywith rounded base, inverted sides and flattened rim, engraved with a series of roundels containing mounted warriors within quatrefoils interspersed by bands of inscriptions in thuluth all on a ground of scrolling tendrils, the base with radiating bands of flower-filled palmette cartouches, owners' inscriptions to rim and base
