The first, of a purple-red clay with a compressed gently rounded tapering body, the ear-shaped handle and straight spout with yellow metal mounts, the base with a six-character seal mark; the second, of reddish-purple clay mixed with duanni shards, potted in a compressed globular form rising from a lipped foot to a matching lipped mouth, with brass, hinged, overhead handle, the base incised '貢局', the lid rim incised '高陽', the surface polished overall to a high sheen.
