|绿端为端砚名坑之一，北宋时始开采，色泽青绿，微带黄色，石质幼嫩润滑，纯净无暇，在端砚中属较名贵的品种。此砚体呈长方形，“鹅池”乃兰亭一景，亦令人联想起“羲之爱鹅”，且呼应王羲之闻名天下的“兰亭集序”，点应主题。工艺精良，技法娴熟，主题明确，兰亭集序中记叙兰亭周围山水之美和聚会的欢乐之情完全得以体现，令人叹为观止，实为不可多得的文房佳品。
