AN ENAMELLED PARCEL-GILT SILVER LIDDED CUP Lucknow, North India, late 18th century Of egg-shaped design, standing on a ringed cylindrical stem and flared circular foot, the lid with a bud-shaped finial, the polychrome enamelling in green, blue, yellow and manganese purple, the decoration consisting of continuous bands of vegetal scrolling tendrils occasionally enriched with irises, carnations and other stylised flowerheads, 14cm high.
