A GOLD, COLOURED-GLASS AND SILVER-GILT THEWABOX Pratapgarh, Rajasthan, India, 19th century Of octagonal shape, on a plain base, the flat hinged lid and eight rectangular panels to the sides decorated with applied openwork golddécoupé (thewa) vegetal compositions and floral sprays over red, green and blue-stained glass, the interior parcel-gilt, 3cm x 9.5cm x 8.2cm. Provenance: from a diplomatic Greek private collection.
