在日本江户时代的加贺藩金泽，有一位叫做三右卫门的釜师，高年代的京铁名作家型铁瓶，不同于一般商业气息较浓厚的堂号型铁瓶，乃纯为茶道家制造的纯物茶道具。因此作家物铁瓶有着持把就手、出水顺畅、器身轻薄的优点，但保存的难度自相较于装饰为主而相对厚重的堂号物为高。
