An Empire mixing cabinet in mahogany, having a marble top surface over cabinet doors with ogee arch panels and single shelf interior, the molded base rising on shaped and carved feet; ht. 43.5, wd. 48, dp. 24 in. Purportedly from the West Virginia home of William Lyne Wilson (American, 1843-1900), a member of the House of Representatives and United States Postmaster General from 1895-97. He also served as the president of both West Virginia University and Washington and Lee University.Â
