A 19th century unmarked silver combination dial snuff boxOf octagonal form, the hinged lid engraved with a dog amongst scroll work above the dial mechanism, the interior of the lid inscribed "All lusts eschewed my critics woke fro' death to the eternal smoke", the underside with stylised scrolling decoration. 7 cm wide.
