Richard Kirkham (California, 1861 - 1922) Watercolor/gouache painting of figures walking through a field with hills in the distance. Signed lower left. Size: 12 x 20 inches. Kirkham is said to have painted with Thomas Moran. He was a resident of Los Angeles until his death on June 27, 1922. His works include scenes of the Santa Anita Canyon, Griffith Park (LA), and the Sacramento Valley. As well as landscapes, he also painted coastals and floral still lifes.
