20th C. Blackware Vessel with incised Jaguar-Dragon images. Olmec STYLE. Earthenware. Size: 5.25 x 4.25 in. In excellent condition, though the vase has a large stress or firing crack running down from rim edge to base on each side (now stablized). Minor losses along crack lines. No new material. Provenance: NM private collection. NOTE: This is believed to be a modern day copy of a famous Olmec ceramic vase from The Valley of Mexico, found in the 1960's.
