A reverse painted glass roundel depicting the schooner 'Cambria', 19th century, titled 'The Cambria Winning The Atlantic Ocean Race, 1870', within a gilt frame with beaded and leaf borders, a red velvet border, all within an ebonised glazed case, case 19.5cm The Cambria was comissioned by James Lloyd Ashbury, a contemporary politician and owner of a railway rolling stock manufacturer. The Cambria was the first challenge to the New York Yacht Club in the America's Cup.
