|《宣德彝器图谱》记载，该款铜炉仿宋窑双鱼耳彝炉制式，属于乾清宫敬堂及东西便殿。据说鱼耳炉意为鱼水之欢。故摆放于寝宫居卧之地。此炉平底口沿束颈重鼓腹，底有圈足。腹上有一对鱼耳，鱼上部翘凸，身体曲拱，尾部分叉，塑造简练概括又不乏生动。底有“大明宣德年制”六字楷书款字体规整端正，字体苍劲有此器熟褐色皮，古朴雅致。
