A Chinese blue ground short-armed lady's robe with 9 5-clawed dragons chasing flaming pearls above a wave and rock motif and dating from the 19th century. There is a secret dragon panel, and the robe has crane roundels scattered against the ground and a courtly garden scene embroidered on the cuffs. Dimensions are: 51 inches tall X 45 inches wide.
