A Chinese Ding-shaped bronze incense burner with a hardwood stand and base, dating from the 17th/18th century. The sides of the bronze feature a taotie masks. The bronze has 2 vertical handles and 4 beast-head legs. Dimensions are: the bronze measures 4 1/4 inches tall X 4 5/8 inches wide. All measurements are approximate. Condition: The lid shows signs of repairs, overall good condition. Provenance: From the estate of Mr. Kwok Woon Kun, formerly a shareholder of Wing On Company, a well-known department store group in Hong Kong and Shanghai. This collection was collected in Hong Kong prior to Mr. Kwok's death in 1969.
