同治藍釉琮式瓶An Imperial Chinese blue glazed porcelain cong vase with a wooden stand and 6-character Tongzhi mark and of the period. The vase comes with a receipt, and features elephant handles with engaged rings at the shoulders. Dimensions are: 11 3/4 inches tall X 5 1/4 inches wide. All measurements are approximate. Condition: A few minor surface abrasions, chip to 1 elephants' ear, and a very small glaze loss to 1 corner. Provenance: From Mr. Lee in New Mexico. Mr. Lee went to Beijing in early 1980s as a visiting scientist and these items were purchased in a government sponsored antiques shop in Beijing. A nearly identical example was sold at Christie's Paris June 11, 2014 lot 51. A similar blue glaze Cong vase, bearing a six-character Tongzhi mark and of the period, is illustrated in _Qing Dai Ci Qi Jian Shang_, Shanghai: Shanghai Scientific and Technical Publishers, 1994, pg. 256 (fig. 1).
