東漢 玉握豬 A Chinese jade carving of a stylized pig dating from the eastern Han dynasty. Dimensions are: 1 inches tall X 3 3/4 inches wide. All measurements are approximate. Condition: Good overall condition with some chips to the underside of the stone. Provenance: From Mr. Lee in Houston, TX, father collected in Taiwan prior to 1980s. A similar jade pig from the same time period sold at Christie's Hong Kong November 29, 2017 lot 2780. A pair sold at Christie's Hong Kong November 28, 2018 lot 2781. A similar jade carving of a pig from the Eastern Han Dynasty, now preserved in Hebei Museum, is illustrated in _Zhong Guo Yu Qi Quan Ji_, Vol. 4, Hebei: Hebei Fine Arts Publishing House, 1993, pl. 176 (fig. 1).
