元代 龍紋玉爐頂A Chinese jade finial carved with a dragon among flowers and dating from the Yuan dynasty. Dimensions are: 2 1/4 inches tall X 2 inches wide. All measurements are approximate. Condition: A few miniscule chips but still in good condition. Provenance: From Mr. & Mrs. Yuen in Minnesota. Mrs. Yuen's father, Chen Kangjue, operated an antiques shop in Yan'an Road, Shanghai from 1940 to 1966. This collection was returned to Mr. Chen Kangjue and was brought back to the United States with his descendants 30 years ago. Similar Yuan dynasty jade finials have sold at Christie's Hong Kong June 1, 2011 lot 3930, Christie's Hong Kong May 30, 2018 lot 3051, and Sotheby's Hong Kong December 1, 2016 lot 170.
