|青州红丝石|春秋孔子说“琼脂玉花”，西晋张华撰《博物志》中有“天下名砚四十有一，以青州红丝为第一”的记述，唐代大书法家柳公数在《论砚》中称“蓄砚以青州为第一。”宋欧阳修《砚谱》云“以青州红丝石第一”苏易简《文房四谱》曰“天下名砚四十余品，青州黑山为第一，端州斧柯山为第二，歙州龙尾第三，宋唐颜猷《砚録》云，“红丝石华缛密致”皆极其研，即加镌凿其声清悦。其声华泽，殊非耳目之所闻见等。”
