|此砚为端石，坑仔岩入砚，随型，砚堂平整砚池深浅不一的数个虫蛀，造型独特，石质包浆自然，石品丰富，背刻文嘉铭。|文嘉（1501-1583），字休承，号文水，明湖广衡山人，系籍长州（今江苏苏州）。文征明仲子。吴门派代表画家。初为乌程训导，后为和州学正。能诗，工书，小楷清劲，亦善行书。精于鉴别古书画，工石刻，为明一代之冠。
