容庚（1894年9月5日-1983年3月6日），原名容肇庚，字希白，号颂斋，广东东莞人。出身于清末书宦世家。因古代“容”“颂”相通而取斋名为“颂斋”。在书宦之家良好的家庭环境熏陶下，他幼年时即熟读《说文解字》和吴大澂的《说文古籀补》。1922年，经罗振玉介绍入北京大学研究所国学门读研究生，毕业后历任燕京大学教授、《燕京学报》主编兼北平古物陈列所鉴定委员、岭南大学中文系教授兼系主任、《岭南学报》主编、中山大学中文系教授等。
