Antique Japanese hand carved monochrome group carving depicting a farmer with floral stocks in bindle on his back. In his right hand a hoe is seen. To the man's right is a boy standing on rocks with birds. Etchedcalligraphy artist signature to bottom. Was exported out of Japan some decades ago and bears the "MADE IN JAPAN" export stamp mark. Each figure with lovely etched patterns to layered garb. Includes wooden base.Measures approx. 9" height x 6 1/4" width + 1" base height (22.8cm x 15.9cm + 2.5cm).
