A pair of impressive heavy antique circa 18th to 19th century Russian gilt bronze covered urns. Each of footed chalice form with figural spire handles and finial on cover. Each with inlaid porcelain plaques to frontand back of body and to foot. Porcelain is hand painted throughout. Each plaque to front depicting the portrait of who appears to be Saint David. Cover further decorated with raised Imperial crown over shield.Interior bowls can be removed. Measures approx. 11 3/4" height x 7" width (29.8cm x 17.8cm).
