Of flattened pear form divided into eight lobes extending from the splayed foot to the flared mouth rim, covered all over in a pale ash gray glaze suffused with dark irregular crackles and finer russet-brown crackle, the unglazed footring revealing the dark brown body, 10.5 inch high. Provenance: From a private Virginia estate, acquired in Europe in the 1970's.
