Finest ChenXiang bead in round pewter box. Hand crafmasters carved ChenXiang fragrance wood Chinese prayer-bead bracelet in original pewter covered round trinket box, with five inscription labeled over the cover and red seal stamped below the lettering. Comprised of eighteen well-strung round ChenXiang wood beads, divided into two sections by large decorated beads with a larger jade bead, further to a gourd shaped Chenxiang pendants with a pearl bordered toward the end of each knots. The central Fotou connected by golden thread suspending an engraved hardwood talisman and crafted similar in cylindrical shape with inlaid gilded Shou characters. The symbols for longevity have been constructed out gilt with small rounded studs outlining the character. Extending beyond the talisman terminating the two tear-shaped round pendants. The ChenXiang wood is rich in color with a continuous smooth texture which is present throughout. Aloes wood, also referred to ChenXiangMu or agarwood, diffuses a distinctive fragrance and hence it is highly treasured, especially in China, Japan, and Tibet. The wood is typically only found in small segments of usable material, which are traditionally pieced together to make small scholar's articles. Its aromatic qualities renders it valuable in the manufacture of incense. The hardwood has a deep tone with dense grain structure.
