Chinese Ming Dynasty Period, rare pair Islamic script porcelain plates. The porcelain potted with a shallow body, of a shallow vessel, broad wide cavetto, with a slightly flared lip and shallow draft. All reserved hand painted ornamentations are rendered in clean white underglaze base color which contrast against the iron red fine color. The center Interior Islamic script , and double fine iron red rings lines decorated in center ,outer center, and outer mouth rim. The exterior adorned with Islamic script and enclosed with double fine iron red rings lines on the center exterior, outer center exterior, foot base rim, and the upper mouth rim. The glaze is seamless and gives off a beautiful luster, with the colors maintaining excellent vibrancy. The clay is very fine, with a brilliant glaze finish that was applied by a meticulous, the shape is uniformly proportioned. The glaze appearance on the blue painting resembled the texture of an orange peel "ju-pi" (chu-p'i) or a d chicken skin. Both underside bears underglaze red Arabic scriptures mark, enclosed within double fine rings.Measurements: Height: 1-5/8" Diameter: 7-7/8"
