All reserved hand painted ornamentations are rendered in clean white underglaze base color which contrast against the Doucai design color. Doucai means soft colors which fit together which is evident in this harmoniously painted design covering the bowls outer surface. The artistry is a combination of underglaze blue outlines and enamels added on top of the fired glaze, within the outlines. The exterior hand painted in detail depicted with vivid tones flowers blooms, fresh green foliage and interlocking vines warps the bowls. The Lines of the drawings are clear, the light and dark shades are subtle. The colors are harmonious, elegant and exquisite, the composition is sophisticated, simply a feast for the eye. The design is well-proportioned, the clay fine and exquisite, the glaze smooth with a moist appearance, the finishing meticulous.
