Chinese Ming Dynasty blue and white porcelain Jar. Sturdy porcelain jar with robust shoulder region curving into a feminine waist that extends all the way to the bottom forming the raised circular base. Hand painted ornamentations are rendered in clean white underglaze base color which contrast against the cobalt blue fine color. The main body delicately be depicted with huge lotus flowers blooms, interspersed with scrolling tendril and foliage, enclosed with double fine blue rings. The shoulder adorned repeating flori form with flower blooms, scrolling ruyi clouds, and enclosed with double fine blue rings. The neck decorated with cumulonimbus clouds, enclosed with thick double fine blue rings, and geometric auspicious pattern on the foot base rim. The porcelain conformed all required specimen to be high valued Chinese porcelain wares, with finest material, the whiteness, the glaze, the carving, and the shape. Without overlap the outlines of the design, well carved, clear, subtle, and distinct. A characteristic heaped and piled effect, the underglaze cobalt blue concentrates in certain areas, bubbling through the surface of the glaze and turning a deep blue-black.
