Chinese antique polychrome porcelain Tea pot. Thick potted, tea pot in globular body, raised upon a small slight base, with dome lid finial. Flanked with archaic u-shape curved spout and a simply looped handle. All reserved hand painted ornamentations are rendered in clean white underglaze base color which contrast against the polychrome design color. The exterior decorated in happiness smiling elder sage on the a salubrious garden landscape. The upper mouth rim, the dome lid and the foot base rim adorned with auspicious pattern, enclosed with thick double rings lines in red-brown underglaze color. The colors are harmonious, elegant and exquisite, the composition is sophisticated, simply a feast for the eye. The clay is fine with a moist appearance, the finishing meticulous. The underside bears artist signature mark, a two underglaze iron-red seal script characters enclosed within a square frame border.Measurements: Height 3-1/2" Width: 6-1/4"
