Chinese Qing Dynasty Qianlong Emperor Reign period, famille verte pair porcelain bowls. Delicately potted in a deep vessel with round cavetto rising slightly curved sides toward flaring rim, with concave footed ring base to the rounded cavetto. All reserved hand painted ornamentations are rendered in clean white underglaze base color which contrast against the famille verte design color. The exterior are vividly hand painted in enamel design, famille verte with bamboo forest landscape. The drawing was superb contrasting the vivid tones background. The improved enamel glazes of the early Qing dynasty being fired at a higher temperature also acquired a more brilliant look as shown. The colors are harmonious, elegant and exquisite, the composition is sophisticated, simply a feast for the eye.
